South Dade Skiffs began in 2014 in a backyard in Miami, where founder Louis Perrero built the first mold and produced the initial two hulls. These hulls were tested on the waters of Biscayne Bay, reflecting Louis’s vision of creating affordable boats that didn’t require a large engine but could still navigate the bay’s fair weather conditions with ease.
